I remodeled my house a year ago. This was a move I wanted in order to make my house bigger. At first, I didn’t feel my house was big enough. Although I felt this way, I wasn’t sure if remodeling the house would be the best move.
Upon debating my options, I finally chose something. I decided that I wanted to add a master bedroom with a bathroom to the basement of the house. It’s a popular upgrade that we thought we could manage.
I wanted to add the master bedroom, a closet, as well as a large bathroom. Although it sounded simple, it was gonna be quite an expensive as well as extensive venture and I had a lot of trouble picking what I wanted from all the different options. I had to call up people and weigh out what the best deal would be for remodeling. Finally, I was able to find a good company that could help me build this dream onto my house.
I truly felt excited about this remodel actually happening. It was set it stone that the remodel would start in about 8 weeks. After a long wait, the blueprints were done and the construction was finally going to begin. During the remodel, there was so many workers at my house. It was very loud just to be there. It was kind of annoying at times.
Sometimes, it was as if I almost regretted doing it. But I did realize that this was just part of the process. I waited a long 3 weeks for this entire process to be done. After the remodel, I was very happy about doing it. It was so nice to have a nice new room and bathroom added onto my house. It made the house that much bigger in my opinion.
My house finally felt like a huge one! It turned out to be the biggest home. This made me feel really good about my choice to remodel.
So what’s next on the agenda? No doubt, a full kitchen. It’s a major undertaking that’s going to inconvenience us quite a bit but in the end we know we will be happy with the outcome. We fully expect to blow the budget and projected timeline because that’s pretty much what everyone ends up doing. How could we expect to be any different?
